Write VIC 20 .tap files to casettes
« on: September 03, 2020, 11:39:14 AM »
Beside from backing up my C64 tapes, I would like to create some real game tapes for my VIC20 using some .tap files that I have...

Can I use my C64 datasette (a Phonemark clone, see image) to write the VIC20 casettes?

Or can I use the 1530USB together with the original VIC20 datasette?

Thanks in advance.

When using 2 different datasettes.only problem you might come across is the azimuth head alignment.
I guess VIC20 doesn't use high baud rates like C64 turbo tapes so it shouldn't be a problem.
But again,I never had a VIC20 so you will need to try and find out.
Good luck and have fun.
